Position – Vice President of Technology & Project Management (VP-Tech-Projects)

Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership & Vision:
- Lead the technology and project management teams in developing and implementing the organization’s technology strategy and vision.
- Work closely with senior leadership to ensure alignment between business goals and technology projects.
- Oversee the establishment and enforcement of best practices, methodologies, and frameworks for project management and technology delivery.
2. Technology Project Oversight:
- Manage and oversee the full life-cycle of technology projects, from concept through to delivery, ensuring they are executed efficiently and effectively.
- Drive the prioritization, scheduling, and resource allocation of technology projects in alignment with business objectives.
- Define and maintain project management processes, tools, and documentation standards for all technology initiatives.
3. Team Leadership & Development:
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of project managers, technology leaders, and engineers.
- Foster a collaborative and results-driven team environment, encouraging innovation and continuous learning.
- Ensure team members have the skills, tools, and resources they need to successfully manage technology projects.
4. Project Delivery & Execution:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale, complex technology projects, ensuring they meet scope, quality, and timeline requirements.
- Monitor and control project progress, addressing challenges and risks, and ensuring mitigation strategies are in place.
- Drive the development of project roadmaps, resource allocation, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful outcomes.
5. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for senior leadership and key stakeholders regarding technology projects, progress updates, and risk management.
- Develop and deliver regular project reports and presentations for executives and other stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, set expectations, and ensure alignment on project deliverables.
6. Risk Management & Problem Resolution:
- Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively managing issues and providing solutions to keep projects on track.
- Lead the effort to resolve technical, financial, and resource-related issues that may arise during project execution.
- Ensure that any scope changes, project delays, or challenges are communicated effectively and managed appropriately.
7. Process Improvement & Innovation:
- Continuously assess and improve the technology and project management processes and methodologies used within the organization.
- Implement best practices for project execution, resource management, and risk assessment.
- Drive innovation in project management tools and technology solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
8. Budget & Resource Management:
- Oversee the technology project budget and resource allocation, ensuring efficient use of resources and cost control.
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that projects are completed within the approved financial parameters.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (required).
- MBA or relevant advanced degree is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in technology project management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or executive role.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering large-scale, complex technology projects across multiple domains.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams, technology infrastructure, and enterprise software solutions.
- Expertise in project management methodologies and software development life-cycle.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to lead diverse, multi-disciplinary teams.
- Expertise in project management tools and technologies (e.g., Jira, Microsoft Project, Trello).
- Ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders, deadlines, and resources.
